सः होवाच गार्ग्यः यः एव अयम् अप्सु पुरुषः एतम् एव अहम् ब्रह्म उपास इति सः होवाच अजातशत्रुः मा म एतस्मिन् संवदिष्ठाः प्रतिरूपः इति वै अहम् एतम् उपास इति सः यः एतम् एवम् उपास्ते प्रतिरूपम् ह एव एनम् उपगच्छति न अप्रतिरूपम् अथो प्रतिरुपः अस्मात् जायते

Traducción

Gārgya said: "The person who is in the waters — him I venerate as Brahman." Ajātaśatru said: "Do not speak to me of him! I venerate him as Correspondence." To him who venerates him thus comes what corresponds and not what does not correspond, and there is born to him a [son] who corresponds to him.
