अथ अस्य मातरम् अभिमन्त्रयते इला असि मैत्रावरुणी वीरे वीरम् अजीजनत् सा त्वम् वीरवती भव या अस्मान् वीरवतः अकरद् इति तम् वा एतम् आहुः अतिपिता बत अभूः अतिपितामहः बत अभूः परमां बत काष्ठां प्राप श्रिया यशसा ब्रह्मवर्चसेन यः एवंविदः ब्राह्मणस्य पुत्रः जायत इति

Traducción

Then he addresses the child's mother: "You are Ilā, daughter of Mitra and Varuṇa; a wife of a husband, you have borne a hero. Be rich in heroes — you who have made us rich in a hero!" And of such a son they say: "Oh, you have surpassed your father! oh, you have surpassed your grandfather! He has reached the highest limit in happiness, in glory, in the splendour of a brāhmaṇa — he who is born as the son of one who knows thus."
