सः होवाच गार्ग्यः यः एव अयम् आकाशे पुरुषः एतम् एव अहम् ब्रह्म उपास इति सः होवाच अजातशत्रुः मा म एतस्मिन् संवदिष्ठाः पूर्णम् अप्रवर्ती इति वै अहम् एतम् उपास इति सः यः एतम् एवम् उपास्ते पूर्यते प्रजया पशुभिः न अस्य अस्मात् लोकात् प्रजा उद्वर्तते
saḥ hovāca gārgyaḥ yaḥ eva ayam ākāśe puruṣaḥ etam eva aham brahma upāsa iti saḥ hovāca ajātaśatruḥ mā ma etasmin saṃvadiṣṭhāḥ pūrṇam apravartī iti vai aham etam upāsa iti saḥ yaḥ etam evam upāste pūryate prajayā paśubhiḥ na asya asmāt lokāt prajā udvartate
Gārgya said: "The person who is in space — him I venerate as Brahman." Ajātaśatru said: "Do not speak to me of him! I venerate him as the Full and Unmoving." He who venerates him thus is filled with offspring and cattle, and his offspring do not vanish from this world.

The fourth address is space, and the royal rank for it is pūrṇam apravarti, "the Full and Unmoving": the expanse is always full (there is no emptiness anywhere in it) and it goes nowhere — there is nowhere for it to go. He who venerates fullness is himself filled: with offspring, with cattle, with the continuance of his line.
We remember ākāśa as a high step (khaṁ brahma, ChU 4.10.4). Ajātaśatru sets even it in the rank of the intermediate: even the all-embracing expanse is only one of the persons, one of the standpoints of the gaze. The greatness of the royal method lies in this incorruptibility: neither the flash of the lightning nor the fullness of the sky will halt him — he knows the One by whom fullness itself is full.
