एतम् उ एव अहम् अभ्यगासिषम् तस्मात् मम त्वम् एकः असि इति ह कौषीतकिः पुत्रम् उवाच रश्मीन् त्वम् पर्यावर्तयात् बहवः वै ते भविष्यन्ति इति अधिदैवतम्

etam u eva aham abhyagāsiṣam tasmāt mama tvam ekaḥ asi iti ha kauṣītakiḥ putram uvāca raśmīn tvam paryāvartayāt bahavaḥ vai te bhaviṣyanti iti adhidaivatam

Translation

"It was precisely him that I sang — therefore you are my only one," said Kauṣītaki to his son. "But you, turn the rays [into many] — and you will have many." This is with reference to the deities.
