सः यः एवम् एतत् बृहत् आदित्ये प्रोतं वेद तेजस्वी अन्नादः भवति सर्वम् आयुः एति ज्योक् जीवति महान् प्रजया पशुभिः भवति महान् कीर्त्या तपन्तम् न निन्देत् तत् व्रतम्

saḥ yaḥ evam etat bṛhat āditye protaṃ veda tejasvī annādaḥ bhavati sarvam āyuḥ eti jyok jīvati mahān prajayā paśubhiḥ bhavati mahān kīrtyā tapantam na nindet tat vratam

Translation

He who thus knows this bṛhat woven into the sun becomes resplendent and an eater of food, attains the full span of life, lives in brightness, is great in offspring and cattle, great in fame. Let him not revile the burning [sun]: that is the vow.
