अथ यत् प्रथमोदिते सः प्रस्तावः तत् अस्य मनुष्याः अन्वायत्ताः तस्मात् ते प्रस्तुतिकामाः प्रशंसाकामाः प्रस्तावभाजिनः हि एतस्य साम्नः

atha yat prathamodite saḥ prastāvaḥ tat asya manuṣyāḥ anvāyattāḥ tasmāt te prastutikāmāḥ praśaṃsākāmāḥ prastāvabhājinaḥ hi etasya sāmnaḥ

Translation

Now what is at the first rising — that is the prastāva; with it men are bound up; therefore they crave to be extolled and praised — for they have a share in the prastāva of this sāman.
