अथ यत् तत् अजायत सः असौ आदित्यः तम् जायमानम् घोषाः उलूलवः अनूदतिष्ठन् सर्वाणि च भूतानि सर्वे च कामाः तस्मात् तस्य उदयम् प्रति प्रत्यायनम् प्रति घोषाः उलूलवः अनूत्तिष्ठन्ति सर्वाणि च भूतानि सर्वे च कामाः
atha yat tat ajāyata saḥ asau ādityaḥ tam jāyamānam ghoṣāḥ ulūlavaḥ anūdatiṣṭhan sarvāṇi ca bhūtāni sarve ca kāmāḥ tasmāt tasya udayam prati pratyāyanam prati ghoṣāḥ ulūlavaḥ anūttiṣṭhanti sarvāṇi ca bhūtāni sarve ca kāmāḥ
And what was born from it is yonder sun. As it was being born, cries and shouts of joy rose up after it, and all beings and all desires. Therefore at its rising and at its every return, cries and shouts of joy rise up, and all beings and all desires.

The nestling of the world-egg: atha yat tad ajāyata so 'sāv ādityaḥ — "what was born from it is yonder sun"! And the greeting of that birth: taṁ jāyamānaṁ ghoṣā ulūlavo 'nūdatiṣṭhan — "as it was being born, cries and shouts of jubilation rose after it" (ulūlu is the ritual cry of joy raised by women!): sarvāṇi ca bhūtāni sarve ca kāmāḥ — "and all beings, and all desires": the world met its Nestling with a universal jubilation!
And the eternal repetition: tasmāt tasyodayaṁ prati — "therefore at [every] rising of it" — the cries, the beings and the desires rise again: every dawn is the anniversary of the sun's birth: the morning clamour of the birds, the waking of creatures and of desires is a daily ululation over a newborn! For one who knows this, a sunrise has ceased forever to be "the start of the working day": it is the world rejoicing at a cradle.
