The third tat tvam asi — after the rivers and the sea, and its shade is this: you are the water, not the channel. Everything you take for yourself — name, family, learning, body — is a bank; the banks change with every embodiment and stay behind at the estuary. Your nature is of the Sea; it has nothing to fear either in flowing or in entering.
And again: "explain further". A pupil who has twice been told the highest truth asks for a third time — and the father does not tire. In the tirelessness of them both is the image of every genuine transmission: truth does not economise on itself, and love does not count repetitions.
