The Samshaptakas, who had sworn to kill Arjuna or die, perish themselves. Those who plot against the Lord's devotee bring ruin upon themselves: enmity toward one whom Krishna protects rebounds upon the enemy. The Lord turns the weapons of the wicked back against them. Thus it is confirmed — to rise against a devotee is to condemn oneself.
