When Karna and Duryodhana dared to seize Krishna, who had come as an envoy, He revealed His universal form, manifesting in countless shapes. The Lord can be neither seized nor bound: the attempt to capture the Supreme is the height of folly. Through this manifestation Krishna revealed His almighty nature right there in the assembly of the Kurus. Whoever tries to overpower the Lord by force only exposes his own weakness and blindness. Hearing of the revelation of the vishva-rupa, Dhritarashtra understands with whom his sons are at war.
