यदाश्रौषं वासुदेवार्जुनौ तौ ।
तथा धनुर् गाण्डिवम् अप्रमेयम् ।
त्रीण्य् उग्रवीर्याणि समागतानि ।
तदा नाशंसे विजयाय संजय ॥

Three formidable powers have united: the Lord Vasudeva Himself, His devotee Arjuna, and the divine bow Gandiva. When the Lord, the devotee, and the means the Lord has granted stand together, the outcome is already settled. The devotee's strength lies not in his weapon as such but in the fact that the Lord directs it; and hearing of this union, Dhritarashtra finally loses all hope.
