यदाश्रौषं वासुदेवे प्रयाते ।
रथस्यैकाम् अग्रतस् तिष्ठमानाम् ।
आर्तां पृथां सान्त्वितां केशवेन ।
तदा नाशंसे विजयाय संजय ॥

"When I heard that, as Vasudeva was departing, the grieving Pritha (Kunti) stood alone before the chariot and was comforted by Keshava — then, O Sanjaya, I lost hope of victory."

As He departs, Krishna does not pass by the distressed Kunti, standing alone before the chariot, but tenderly comforts her. Here, alongside the manifest omnipotence of verse 119, shines something else — the sweetness of the Lord personally consoling His devotee in her sorrow. The Lord is not only all-powerful but also infinitely gracious toward those dear to Him: He Himself descends to their grief and dispels it. Herein lies the fullness: the Supreme's majesty and tenderness are inseparable.
