यत् तद् यतिवरा युक्ता ध्यानयोगबलान्विताः ।
प्रतिबिम्बम् इवादर्शे पश्यन्त्य् आत्मन्य् अवस्थितम् ॥

That [supreme principle] the best of ascetics, concentrated and endowed with the power of the yoga of meditation, see abiding in their own heart — like a reflection in a mirror.

The best yogis, having purified their consciousness through the power of meditation, behold the Lord abiding in their heart — like a reflection in a clear mirror. This points to the Paramatma: the Lord as the Supersoul dwells in the heart of every being, and the devotee-yogi sees Him within. The image of the ‘mirror’ carries several meanings: just as a mirror must be clean to give a clear reflection, so the heart must be purified (which is accomplished through hearing hari-katha) in order to behold the Lord. And it is He whom they behold — the very Person Vasudeva just spoken of; the inward vision culminates not in dissolution into a void, but in meeting the Lord within the heart.
