कल्पन्ते ह अस्मै लोकाः ऊर्ध्वाः च आवृत्ताः च यः एतत् एवम् विद्वान् लोकेषु पञ्चविधम् सामोपास्ते

The fruit: kalpante hāsmai lokā ūrdhvāś cāvṛttāś ca — "the worlds are set in order for him, the ascending and the returning": kalpante — "they fall into order, become serviceable": for the knower both currents of the world work: the upward is open to him (ascent) and the downward serves him (blessings coming down).
The formula of the fruit throughout this series always mirrors the contemplation (the law of upāsanā!): he who venerated the worlds as a song receives the worlds in tune: the universe answers to the concord in which it is heard. Here is the seed of all the "magic" of Vedic knowledge, which is no magic at all: not an incantation of nature but an entry into her own order: concord is not fought with — one builds oneself into it, and then it carries.
