सः यः आशां ब्रह्म इति उपास्ते आशया अस्य सर्वे कामाः समृध्यन्ति अमोघाः ह अस्य आशिषः भवन्ति यावत् आशाया गतम् तत्र अस्य यथाकामचारः भवति यः आशां ब्रह्म इति उपास्ते अस्ति भगवः आशाया भूयः इति आशाया भूयः अस्ति इति तत् मे भगवान् ब्रवीतु इति

He who venerates hope as Brahman has all his desires fulfilled through hope, and his prayers are not in vain; he is free to move as he wishes everywhere that hope reaches." — "Sir, is there anything greater than hope?" — "There is something greater than hope." — "Tell it to me, sir."

The reward of hope is beautiful: amoghā hāsyāśiṣo bhavanti — "his prayers are not in vain". In one who venerates expectation as Brahman the very fabric of his desires is purified — he asks in such a way that it comes to pass.
And yet the question remains: in whom does hope live? who is the living one that remembers and expects? The ladder has come to its penultimate rung — the prāṇa, the breath of life — beyond which will open not a rung but an abyss: the Bhūman.
