तस्मात् वै एतम् सेतुम् तीर्त्वा अन्धः सन् अनन्धः भवति विद्धः सन् अविद्धः भवति उपतापी सन् अनुपतापी भवति तस्मात् वै एतम् सेतुम् तीर्त्वा अपि नक्तम् अहर् एव अभिनिष्पद्यते सकृत् विभातः हि एव एषः ब्रह्मलोकः

अनुवाद
Therefore, having crossed this bridge, the blind ceases to be blind, the wounded to be wounded, the suffering to be suffering. Therefore, having crossed this bridge, even night turns into day: for the world of Brahman is lit once and for all.

What happens to the one who has crossed: blindness, wounds, suffering all stay on the near bank. They are not even "healed" — they simply are not carried over: maimings belong to the city, not to the King; the one who has crossed finds himself to be one who never was blind or wounded. This is a direct answer to Indra's fear, which will be voiced below (8.9): "in a blind body he is blind" — no; beyond the bridge there is no blindness.
And the verse's summit: sakṛd vibhātaḥ — the world of Brahman is "lit once [and for all]": there is no night there, because that light is not from luminaries that set. "There the sun does not shine, nor the moon, nor the stars… everything shines only after him" (Kaṭha 2.2.15); "having gone there they do not return — that is My supreme abode, and no sun lights it" (BG 15.6). Night turning into day is the last feature of the home in which Light has no opposite.
