He who, knowing this thus, venerates the sun as Brahman — to him, soon enough, good sounds will come and gladden him, will gladden him.

The close of the third adhyāya: to one who venerates the sun as Brahman are promised sādhavo ghoṣāḥ — "good sounds": ā ca gaccheyur upa ca nimreḍeran — "they will come and delight him": the knower's life will fill with glad tidings and joyful cries — those very ululations that greeted the birth of the light!
The adhyāya's ring closes beautifully: it began with the honey of the sun and ends with the sun's birth from the egg and with good sounds about the knower: he who honours the Sun-Brahman lives in the acoustics of daybreak — among sounds of welcome, not sounds of threat. The third adhyāya is complete: the honey of the five nectars, the unsetting sun, the gāyatrī brought home to the heart, Śāṇḍilya ("all is Brahman; He is mine, in the heart"), the chest of the world, the life-sacrifice with Ghora's testament to Kṛṣṇa — and a world rejoicing over a newborn light. Next comes the fourth adhyāya: the stories of Jānaśruti and Raikva, of Satyakāma Jābāla — the upaniṣad of tales.
