न ह वै अस्माइ उदेति न निम्लोचति सकृत् दिवा ह एव अस्माइ भवति यः एताम् एवम् ब्रह्मोपनिषदम् वेद

The promise of an unsetting day: na ha vā asmā udeti na nimlocati — "for him it does not rise or set": sakṛd divā haivāsmai bhavati — "once [and for all] it is day for him": sakṛt — "once" — one unending noon!
For one who knows the upaniṣad of Brahman the very alternation of light and dark is abolished: his day is not followed by night — not because the earthly sun changes its course for him, but because he lives in the presence of the Standing one: the knower's inner luminary takes no part in sunsets. The eternal day is an Upaniṣadic name for salvation: a life out of which the night of ignorance, fear and death has been taken away (it echoes the "sorrowless" beyond the twenty-second syllable — 2.10!): a light once risen in a knower's heart no longer knows how to set.
