The great inversion of the ladder. All through the chapter Nārada climbed from below upward: name → speech → mind → … → prāṇa, each rung "greater" than the last. Now, from the summit, the whole ladder is enumerated in reverse — and with a new preposition: not "greater than" but "from the ātman" (ātmataḥ): from the ātman breath, from the ātman hope, memory, space… name. The rungs are not abolished — they are re-founded: what looked from below like a hierarchy of powers has opened from above as the outpouring of One.
So the very grammar of the world changes: for a knower everything is in the genitive — everything is "his" and "from him": "from Me are memory, knowledge and their loss" (BG 15.15); "I am the source of all, from Me everything proceeds" (BG 10.8). A new pair is added too: āvirbhāva-tirobhāvau — "manifestation and concealment": the very coming and going of things, birth and death, disclosure and hiding, are also from him. Nothing happens "of itself"; the world is one continuous proceeding-forth.
