This lightning is the honey of all beings, and all beings are the honey of this lightning. And the shining immortal person who is in the lightning, and the shining immortal person who is in the body as inner light — that is this ātman. This is the immortal, this is Brahman, this is all.

The eighth wave of honey is lightning and the taijasa, the "luminous" nature in a man: the inner brilliance, the flash of understanding, the heat of resolve. Lightning is the honey of beings: it heralds the rain and discharges the sultriness; beings are its honey: it has someone to flash above.
The inner lightning is known to everyone: a thought that "dawns" suddenly, entire, with no transitions, is the sister of the flash in the sky (the Upaniṣads more than once compared revelation itself to lightning — Kena 4.4, BU 2.3.6). And in both, the outer and the inner, there is one shining Puruṣa: every illumination is a glint of Him.
