यः चक्षुषि तिष्ठन् चक्षुषः अन्तरो यं चक्षुः न वेद यस्य चक्षुः शरीरं यः चक्षुः अन्तरो यमयति एषः ते आत्मा अन्तर्यामी अमृतः

The formula of the antaryāmin is applied to the next vesture: the eye. The same four members: He is within; the eye does not know Him; the eye is His body; He rules it from within. And the same conclusion: he is your ātman, the Inner Ruler, the immortal.
The eye sees everything except its own Beholder — that same "person in the eye" whom Virocana and Gārgya failed to recognise.
