译文
The sāman is the breath: for in the breath all these beings come together (samyañci). For one who knows this all beings come together, preparing his primacy; he who knows this wins union with the sāman and its world.

The third vidyā: the sāman, the chant, is prāṇa, for in the breath beings "come together" (sam-yañc): song and life alike gather the many into one sounding. We have heard the etymology of sāman as sa+ama, the couple of voice and breath (1.3.22) — here the same truth is put more briefly.
The fruit is concord: beings "come together, preparing the primacy" of the knower: around one who has understood the harmony of life the world arranges itself into a choir, and he is its precentor.
