Each member of this family conquers the world by their own virtue: Kunti by service to elders (guru-śuśrūṣā), the twins by humility (vinaya), and all of them together by valor. Service to elders and humility are the very roots of devotion: bhakti begins precisely with respectful service to the guru and elders, with modesty. The Lord's devotees win hearts not by force but by character. Thus it is shown what the world truly treasures — not showy might, but the pure qualities of those devoted to God.
