Yudhishthira—once defeated, impoverished, exiled, torn from his kin—suddenly gathers seven akshauhinis of troops. Thus the Lord restores His devotee: from utter deprivation He returns to him power. Fortune (Shri) departs from those who oppose the Lord and comes to His devotees, however low they may have fallen before. Dhritarashtra sees the hand of fate and loses his last hope.
