The young Abhimanyu alone breaks through a formation impregnable to everyone else and guarded by Drona himself. In him lives the valor of a line joined to the Lord: he is the son of Subhadra, Krishna's sister, and thus the nephew of the Supreme Lord Himself. The heroism of devotees and their descendants carries the reflected power of the Lord. Dhritarashtra sees in this yet another sign of Krishna's side's inevitable triumph.
