सः यः एवम् एतत् वैरूपम् पर्जन्ये प्रोतं वेद विरूपान् च सुरूपान् च पशून् अवरुन्धे सर्वम् आयुः एति ज्योक् जीवति महान् प्रजया पशुभिः भवति महान् कीर्त्या वर्षन्तम् न निन्देत् तत् व्रतम्

译文
He who thus knows this vairūpa woven into Parjanya wins cattle of many forms and of fair form, attains the full span of life, lives in brightness, is great in offspring and cattle, great in fame. Let him not revile the falling [rain]: that is the vow.

The fruit follows the melody's name: virūpāṁś ca surūpāṁś ca paśūn avarundhe — "he wins cattle many-formed and fair-formed": the vairūpa gives vi-rūpa and su-rūpa: the play of roots is the very grammar of upāsanā: by whatever name you venerate, such is the form you receive.
The vow: varṣantaṁ na nindet — "let him not revile the falling one": do not grumble at the rain! A companion to the bṛhat's vow (do not revile the heat): the drenched and the sweating are equally tempted to revile the sky — and to both a grateful silence is enjoined: weather is always somebody's lifting-up; do not hiss at another's udgītha, and your flock will multiply in every colour.
