अथ ततः ऊर्ध्वः उदेत्य न एव उदेता न अस्तम् एत एकलः एव मध्ये स्थाता तत् एषः श्लोकः

And then, having risen from there on high, it no longer rises or sets: alone it stands in the middle. Of this there is this verse:

The culmination of the science of honey: atha tata ūrdhva udetya — "then, having risen from there on high" — naivodetā nāstam etā — "it no longer rises or sets": ekala eva madhye sthātā — "ALONE it stands in the middle"!
Past the fifth epoch the sun steps out of the game of risings altogether: no longer a luminary going round the quarters but a Light standing motionless at the centre: ekala — "solitary, sole" — the sun beyond movement: that unsetting Light which "neither rises nor sets", the eternal noon of Reality. All five epochs with their overturnings of the sky were an ascent toward this: motion is used up, and Standing remains: time has an end, and it is not darkness but an unfading light (Gītā 15.6: "neither sun nor moon lights that place… that is My abode").
