Again the law of correspondence: one who contemplates the Infinite "becomes infinite" himself — he comes out of the narrowness in which consciousness shuts itself up by identifying with the body and its measure. The soul is not small by nature: it is a spark of the boundless, and remembrance of the boundless restores to it its own spaciousness.
The "infinite worlds" here are not only the higher spheres of the universe but a pointer to what ages cannot exhaust: the abode of the Lord, where neither time nor joy has a limit. The Upaniṣad leads to this gradually, quarter by quarter, training the heart not to halt at anything finite.
