सः ह गौतमः राज्ञः अर्धम् एयाय तस्मै ह प्राप्ताय अर्हाम् चकार सः ह प्रातः सभागः उदेयाय तम् ह उवाच मानुषस्य भगवन् गौतम वित्तस्य वरम् वृणीथाः इति सः ह उवाच तव एव राजन् मानुषम् वित्तम् याम् एव कुमारस्य अन्ते वाचम् अभाषथाः ताम् एव मे ब्रूहि इति सः ह कृच्छ्री बभूव

译文

Gautama came to the king. The king received him with honour. In the morning, when he appeared in the assembly, the king said: "Reverend Gautama, choose a gift from among human riches." He answered: "Let human riches remain with you, O king. Tell me the speech you spoke in the young man's presence." The king was at a loss.
