He ate — and came to his father. And whatever his father asked him, he answered it all.

The verification in reverse: after eating, he "answered it all". The bonfire of the mind blazed up at the first food, and the Vedas came back as a flame comes back to coals doused with butter. The experiment is closed at both ends: hunger extinguishes, food kindles — the table of the three compositions is proved on a living mind.
Śvetaketu now knows about himself what twelve years of school do not give: his brilliant mind is a guest who arrives with dinner. Whoever has once seen his own thinking put out and lit again is cured forever of identifying himself with his mind — and is ready to hear who in him does not go out.
