The upshot of the vidyā is a double formula: tau vā etau dvau saṁvargau — "these are the two Gatherers-in": vāyur eva deveṣu prāṇaḥ prāṇeṣu — "Vāyu among the gods, the prāṇa among the vital powers": one gathering Power with two thrones, the heavenly and the pectoral (that very identity of "this one is warm, that one is warm" from 1.3!).
The saṁvarga-vidyā is finished — brief, as all great things are: the world and man have one law of drainage: everything that subsides flows to the Breath. He who knows this becomes himself the point of confluence (the kṛta, the winning die!): good flows to one who knows the Place toward which all flows. The next scene will show the vidyā in action — upon a hungry brahmacārin and two noblemen at dinner.
